About Marie

I am an Integrative Counsellor working with people of all ages. My work is primarily Person-Centred with a focus on existential issues and loss, and I also incorporate CBT, creative tools, psychodynamic thinking and mindfulness into my way of working. As well as grief, I have experience of working with low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, identity, illness, gender/sexuality, neuro-diversity, and relationship issues.

My sessions are client-led, and I strive to create a safe and non-judgemental environment in which clients can explore their thoughts and feelings in such a way that they feel more empowered.

I have a background in education, having worked with children, young people and adults in Asia and Europe as well as the UK. Over the years, I have worked with many charities such as Blue Smile and Cruse Bereavement Support. I have also worked with Lifecraft, supporting families across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough that have been bereaved by suicide, and CEAACC (Cambridgeshire Expressive Arts & Counselling Centre). I am currently a sessional counsellor with CRCC (Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre) alongside my private practice.

I have a Diploma in Counselling and am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics.

My additional training includes:

- Diploma in Trauma Counselling
